I ran into an old friend in the grocery store. Years passed since we were last together. We decided to make a lunch date to catch up. We both agreed to see one another the next week at a restaurant we use to frequent. I was excited, because we always had extraordinary endeavors that were encountered. Well, the day came to meet my long ago friend and we both met on time as usual. I ordered salad and steak and my friend did the same. We reminisced about old times, laughing and sometimes wanting to cry as we ate our appetizer..the salad! At what point did I realize that there was a huge green piece of salad in my friends teeth. I tried not to stare. But my eyes aggressively gravitated towards it. In my mind I was thinking, how do you tell someone that you haven't seen in years that they have food in their teeth. I just couldn't! So I didn't. I excused myself to the restroom. When I finished my business, as I began to sanitize my hands, I made a quick check in the mirror, only to see that I had a huge piece of salad in my teeth too! I wish I had told my friend about that hunk of food in their teeth, we could have laughed more!
The moral of the story is: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!
